Momordica Charantia is a tropical and subtropical vine of the family CUCURBITACEAE, widely grown in Asia, Africa, and the Carabbean for its edible fruit. Many varieties of Momorica Charantia differ substantially in the shape and bitternes of the fruit. Momordica Charantia originated in India and was imported to China in the 14th century. It is widely used in East Asian, South Asian and Southeast Asian cousines.
